I was so eager to show you this look, and I’m happy to do it just in time for christmas. I guess one of the most important teachings in christmas spirit is to believe and to have faith. Believe in people, in their compassion and kindness. Believe in your family, in their love and support. And believe in yourself, in your talents and dreams. I guess the reason I’m mentioning all this, is that I want to tell you more about the Elias sisters (remember when I first introduced them here?).  Those two GORGEOUS women are remarkable in their way of being, dreaming, crafting and making things happens. I know them for a while now – through different events and social gatherings – and I always enjoyed their positive energy and smart interactions. They’re kind and humble, intelligent, well-educated, very sweet and super beautiful (inside-out). Lately, I also discovered their ambitious and visionary side – and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of it.

Elama Fur, their baby project that is growing substantially, is a new perspective of fur. Think of a revamped version of what you always saw in the fur market – where lines & designs are more refined, more trendy and modern.  The one I’m wearing, The Jackie,  has an interesting mix of cashmere and crystal fox fur. I decided to feature it on its own for the 5th Holiday Edit, because as mentioned in the introduction, to believe is everything that matters. And the girls believed. They believed and succeeded on what they believed.

So here I am, wishing you all a very merry christmas, full of laughter and joy, of compassion and kindness, of Love and support, and dreams to be fulfilled ! Best wishes to the Elias sisters on their project. Many more great things to come to you Ladies, cheers to that!

It was the best AND hardest workout I had. It was last Tuesday night and I headed to the famous Milan Pole Studio to try something I would never think I’d be capable of: Pole Dancing. Few moments after starting the class – And watching the other habituées performing amazingly – I realized that it’s all about balancing your strength, weight and flexibility. I had no idea how to do that – it’s one the things I never learned on my regular gym workouts. The first thing you need is to let go all the psychological barriers on your body weight you might have. I never thought i would have enough strength to carry myself around the pole for a basic spin, and after failing the first times, I was told to just let myself go and not think whether I can, or can’t do it.

Once you learn that first lesson, things go a bit smoothly afterwards. The second exercise was to balance the movements – regardless of your flexibility (and I’m NOT flexible). It’s like a dance choreography in the airs, while your arms and élan carries your strength. That was also the FUN part of the workout. To be able to move like a ballerina while working out on your shoulders and arms. It kinda feels like push ups in the airs. Once you get used to synchronizing your movements, you focus on improving their precision, and push up your physical strength. And instead of carrying different weights, what’s best than carrying your very own weight?

For trying different workouts, from regular gym to crossfit, I felt it’s the most complete workout one may have. Since it’s involves your brain power, gym skills and muscular strength. All these perceptions of Pole fitness or Pole dancing being a stripper thing resulted on a false society judgement. I would think of it more like an acrobat, Cirque Du Soleil kinda thing, with a twist of fun. Milan Pole Dance Studio first started in Milan by a Montrealer. The concept is so successful and the workout so great, the studio opened another branch in Dubai, Singapore, and Montreal. Watching how talented my teacher is, I can only understand the craze that surrounds that particular studio. The team is also super passionate about their work, something one can only appreciate.

Darlings, there are some nights that are quieter and cozier than the rest. You know those nights when you celebrate the holidays at your friends, dine in a restaurant, have a small Holiday apéro with a client, or your business partner. There are also those nights when you don’t have time to go home change after work, or to fully prep yourself, nor the energy/desire to dress-up. For those nights, what you can do is simply channel a black on black outfit, and focus on a statement bag that will upgrade the whole outfit. It’s one my favourite tricks, nobody will notice how casual you look, and your bag will attract all the focus! And talking about statement bags, I’m in LOVE with the BCBGMAXAZRIA clutch – it’s a perfect statement for the holidays season.

You know what’s amazing about boyfriend jeans? There is only so may ways and occasions one can wear them. It’s kind of comforting to be nonchalant and classy at the same time. As if you didn’t try hard and as if  you have this easy, inner, unconditional chic-ness à la Jenna Lyons. For this third Holiday Edit, I picked these gorgeous New Georges Marciano jeans*, and matched them with H&M’s sequinned blazer (festive touch), Cami and my fav red soles! What do you think? How would you wear your BF jeans?

*YES, people, Georges Marciano is launching his brand new denim line super soon and we’ve got it all covered! Stay tuned).

My friends, when in doubt, opt for simplicity and focus on jewels. For tonight’s DULCEDO party (who cares about the snowstorm, you’ll find me on the dance floor!!!!!!), I thought it would be perfect to channel an all-white outfit paired with my latest Tiffany T addition (THANK YOU TIFFANY!). We also shot this edit at the Montreal Store, which hold many key pieces from Tiffany T, that I ALL used for the shoot. I mean, when you allow me to wear Tiffany’s… I WEAR Tiffany’s 🙂 What I love about all-white party looks is 1) that épuré feels it airs – 2) No matter where your pieces are from, it looks like a multimillion dollar look (very Monaco-esque) – 3) It has this very interesting contrast of simplicity and luxury – 4) White is super trendy this season – 5) Add a red lipstick to it, and… DAMN GIRL!

….BUT! Let my honesty voice out my main concern for tonight. I’m SUPER ULTRA CLUMSY. If you ever see me with shrimp sauce all over my jumpsuit, don’t tell! Or, and that is worse, what if I look like a snowflake? but hey, Qui ne risques rien… n’a rien! It’s a daring look, but I’m a daring person. I’ll let you know how it goes, but, meanwhile, have you ever worn white in a party? would you dare?

P.S: Scroll down and check out the Tiffany &Co Holiday Campaign, it’s SO CUTE!!!

UPDATE: FORGET white on a party of 800 people. I’m still in awe of the look, but truth to be told, it’s perfect for an intimate dinner, party of 10 or a family gathering. I switched to a classic LBD at the very last minute, and THANK GOD I did, because 1) A drink was spilled on me 10 min after I arrived, 2) The party was c r o w d e d ! it would have turned grey in minutes 3) It would have looked too serious. I would reserve this look for another occasion. Probably The blog’s intimate dinner next week!

P.S2: Oh, and by the way, DULCEDO throws the best parties!

I decided to start this segment with The Lunch Look, given I was invited to Tiffany’s traditional Holiday luncheon at Maison Bouloud – Two days ago – And it was hard to find a look that isn’t too casual, nor too dressed-up, but yet effortless chic*! For many people, lunch is lunch – but hey, Holidays festivities are Holidays Festivities (!!) too! You can be casual at a Holiday Lunch but think of a way to upgrade your look a notch. What I did is combine Elle By RW&CO’s plunging dress with a RW&Co Crop Top to have a cool finish with a dressed-up feeling. The texture of the dress brings up the whole look while the sweater’s knit cools it down. I found it perfect, what about you?

* I know, there is no such thing as effortless chic, but I still love the concept of it.
